Will this tamper fit my machine's basket?
It is designed for 58 mm baskets, but baskets with the same listed size can vary slightly in internal diameter. Measure your basket from the inside before ordering.
Why is the base flat rather than convex?
The flat base presses the entire surface of the grounds to the same depth, while a convex base presses the center more than the edges. That is why the flat base gives you a more predictable result.
What is the right way to clean it?
Wipe the base with a soft cloth and dry it immediately. Avoid abrasive sponges, and do not let coffee oils build up on the metal.
Tamping is more stable on a firm surface: rest the portafilter on the Bincoo non-slip mat or secure it on the height-adjustable IKAPE stand.
