Product description
HARIO V60 Switch dripper with control valveTwo brewing methods in one dripper
A regular dripper lets water drain the moment you pour it, so the coffee passes through and that's it. The Switch has a valve at the base that you close to steep the water with the grounds like a French press, then open it so it drains like a V60 pour-over. In other words, one dripper gives you two completely different brewing styles.
What do immersion and pour-over in one dripper mean?
In a regular pour-over, water passes through the grounds and drains, so the time it touches the coffee is short and controlled by gravity. Immersion lets the grounds steep in water for a duration you choose, producing a fuller-bodied and sweeter cup. The Switch combines both methods: close the valve, pour in the water, and wait, then open it to drain the cup. Or leave it open from the start for a regular pour-over. You can also combine both in the same cup: immerse for the first minute, then pour over for the rest.
Three things that set it apart
Open the valve whenever you want
A small lever at the base opens and closes the outlet, so you decide when to steep instead of leaving it to gravity.
Spiral ribs
The same V60 ribs create an airflow path between the filter and the wall, allowing water to drain evenly instead of pooling in the center.
Multiple materials
Choose heat-resistant glass, ceramic that retains heat longer, or lightweight Tritan that won't break, depending on how you use it.
Which option should you choose?
| Collection | Method | Suitable for |
|---|---|---|
| Switch and SSD | Immersion and pour-over with a valve | Anyone who wants to try both methods |
| V60 RAN | Regular pour-over without a valve | Anyone who wants only classic pour-over |
| Ceramic | Retains heat longer | Unhurried home brewing |
| Glass | Lets you see the extraction | Anyone who wants to monitor the process |
| Tritan | Lightweight and won't break | Travel and the office |
| Size 01 | Smaller | One cup |
| Size 02 | Larger | Two or more cups |
Very important before ordering
The list above contains two different models, not just different colors: the Switch and SSD options have the immersion valve, while the V60 RAN options are regular drippers without a valve. Check the model first, then choose the material and color. Some options include forty filters and some do not; this is stated in each option's name.

Questions people ask before ordering
What's the difference between the Switch and a regular V60?
A regular V60 is always open, so the water drains immediately. The Switch has a valve you can close to hold the water with the grounds, allowing you to brew using immersion, pour-over, or a combination of both.
Does it come with filters?
It depends on the option. Options marked "with 40 filters" include them; the rest include the dripper only.
Size 01 or 02?
Size 01 is for one cup, while 02 is larger and suitable for two or more cups. Note that the filter size must match the dripper size.
Glass, ceramic, or Tritan?
Ceramic retains heat longer and should be preheated before brewing, glass lets you see the extraction, and Tritan is lightweight and won't break, making it suitable for travel.
How do I clean the valve?
Rinse it with hot water after every use, and clean it periodically to remove accumulated oils so it continues to seal properly.
