Product description
HARIO Alpha Ceramic Coffee Dripper with Valve, Size 01Heat-retaining ceramic with a valve you can close whenever you like
A matte black ceramic dripper with a gold logo and white interior, featuring a control valve that lets you brew using immersion or pour-over, along with internal ridges that regulate water flow. Size 01 for one or two cups, with a paper stopper included.
Why ceramic instead of plastic?
A cold dripper draws heat from the water as soon as you pour, shortening the actual extraction time and making the cup less sweet and more acidic. Ceramic stores heat and releases it slowly, unlike plastic, which heats up and cools down quickly. That is why it is best to preheat the dripper with hot water for a minute before brewing - it genuinely makes a difference in the cup.
Three things that make it different
A valve you can open and close
Close it to hold the water with the coffee for as long as you choose, then open it to release the brew as a pour-over. Two brewing methods in one dripper.
Internal ridges
They leave an air channel between the filter and the wall, helping the water drain evenly instead of pooling in the center.
Matte black ceramic
A matte finish with a gold logo and white interior makes it easy to see the coffee color while brewing.
Important before you order
Available in Size 01 for one or two cups, with a paper stopper included. If you brew for three or four people in one session, this size will feel limiting. Filters are not included and must be ordered separately; the filter size matches the dripper size.

Questions people ask before ordering
How many cups does it brew?
Size 01 is suitable for one or two cups per session.
What is the valve for?
It lets you brew using immersion, like a French press, then open it to release the brew as a pour-over instead of buying two separate tools.
Are filters included?
A paper stopper is included, but the filters themselves must be ordered separately in Size 01.
Why should I preheat the dripper before brewing?
Cold ceramic draws heat from the water as soon as you pour, so filling it with hot water for a minute before brewing helps maintain the temperature.
